Kyrie & Gloria

So I guess you could call this my first music video...  It was originally supposed to just be a live performance, but due to logistical concerns, the idea grew and it evolved into a hybrid music video that we filmed live.  Special thank you to my wife for being my partner in crime for this project.  We were honored to have had the opportunity to film these incredible musicians as they worshipped our God and King in spirit and in truth.

North Of The Rock | Part III |

I can't get enough of the ocean!  My photographer friend Randy Coons joined me for a day at Morro Rock to see what we could see and shoot what we could shoot.  I usually shoot only prime, so it was a lot of fun for me to mess around with Randy's 75-300mm zoom lens for a while.  I've never been able to get in this tight on the local surfers, and I had a blast!

"He Calleth Them All By Their Names."

Instead of sleeping, I spent the better part of Monday night taking photos with my friend Randy after bible study.  This was my first ever attempt at astrophotography, and it was way more fun than I expected!  We played with multicolored flashlights and geeked out about exposure and the vastness of the universe.  It is so humbling to really stop and appreciate the seemingly infinite expanse of stars, and to realize that our God and King created every one of them to fulfill His purpose.  Counting and naming so many stars seems impossible to us, but not so for our Father;  "He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names." (Psalms 147:4, KJV).  I took a few photos of the sculptures in the Sculpterra sculpture garden, and a few photos of the stars as well, but then we spent the rest of the evening messing around making staged UFO photos, which I may put up sometime... we'll see how they turn out!

Girlbosses

I had the pleasure of shooting headshots for these two inspirational ladies today. These two gals are the faces of Birch Fabrics and Fabricworm, which (if you are out of the loop) happen to be the coolest fabric manufacturer and retailer around. These girlbosses really know their stuff and I had a blast taking their portraits!

Photoshop Fun: X-Men Style

Listen up, nerds!  This one is for you!  I decided to find a few ordinary portraits I had taken around the house and do something to make them a little more interesting.  Being the geek that I am, I ended up taking it a little further than a normal person probably would, and I decided to turn my family into X-Men.  Yeah, you heard me.  I am really that much of a nerd.  I had a few more, including my wife as Storm, but I wasn't quite happy with how all of them turned out, so here are the few that DID work for me.
